I live in Charlotte, NC. I have signed up with Roadie, but have not seen a job opportunity yet.
Live in San Diego CA, and only gig I find is one to take end tables from San Diego to San Francisco for $62 dlls., am I not searching correctly?
Hey Karla - sounds like you're searching properly. You can zoom out farther on the map using standard "pinching" to see if any Gigs exist within a wider radius. The most important point is that Gigs are removed from the map as soon as they're double-accepted, so make sure you're checking as frequently as you can. Thanks!
At the end of the year would driver receive 1099 or W2 for tax purposes?
@surma - At the end of the year, Roadie will provide Drivers with a list of the miles driven on our platform if our Senders have paid you more than $600 in the given year.
Ok thanks. Maybe I didn't phrase that correctly, as a driver I receive income from Roadie and as a company you report that income to IRS. Will I be responsible for paying (Federal, State and Local) taxes myself ?
@surma - Yes, you'll be responsible for paying your own taxes. And we provide the summary of miles driven to help with that. You can contact us at support@roadie.com if you have any more specific questions.
Hello, I'm in western North Carolina. I just signed up with Roadie and was wondering if there's any record of gigs in my area? My zip code is 28786 to be exact.
@Matt - we deliver for a number of customers in the Asheville and surrounding areas. Be sure to set your notifications and check the map in the app. If you have specific questions, work through support@roadie.com. Thanks and welcome aboard!
I saw gigs appearing in that area after I posted that question. Thank you, Matt.
Hi I have signed, I'm from Reading Pa, and the only gig is for atlanta airport, what can I do?
@Erika - we deliver for a bunch of customers in the Reading area. If you're seeing the Atlanta area on your map, try tapping the arrow in the bottom-right of the map to take you to your local location. If this doesn't work or If you have specific questions, work through support@roadie.com. Thanks and welcome aboard!
I would like to drive some long distance trips but in the last month all of the trips I have seen are pick up immediately and it would take me 6 or 7 hours to reach the pick up point I am worried that as pull in to pick up items the gig will be gone or is there some other way to go about this endeavor?
@Randy - we definitely have more short-distance, same-day Gigs on the platform compared to the long-distance variety. For the long-distance ones, if you submit an offer that gets accepted, you should definitely reach out to the Sender to coordinate all of the details and timing of the pickup and delivery, that way you can be certain about your plans and what the Sender needs. Hope this helps!
Will a roadie gig ever cross state lines? I drive long distance trips from Michigan to Wyoming for example. I'd be willing to take a gig that went from Michigan to Nebraska, since it's on the way. Are Roadie users even allowed to send items from state to state?
I live in Charlotte and for some reason there’s not any gigs coming up here and i was trying to figure out why ?
Is Roadie available in Michigan City Indiana?
