Why Do I Have to Take a Photo of My ID and Take a Selfie During Sign Up?

  • Updated

Part of the registration process to join the Roadie Driver community you are required to upload a photo of your ID and snap a selfie to verify your identity. This helps prevent fraudulent users from using your identity on the platform and helps protect our community as a whole.

In order to be eligible to perform certain Gigs and to further help protect against theft and fraud, Drivers may be asked to submit personal information in addition to a selfie and a scan of their driver’s license and/or other government ID including a scan of their face, facial patterns, fingerprints, and voice or typing cadence (“biometric data”).

Roadie uses various third-party technology, tools, and services to collect your personal information and biometric data from you.  Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. For more information on how your personal information and biometric data are used, stored, and disclosed, please see our Privacy Policy at https://www.roadie.com/privacy.

We hope this helps! If you need additional assistance, you can always contact us via chat on the website.
